Thirsty Thursday In June: The World's Freshest Margarita
June is going to be one hell of a month. You know why? Every Thursday, we will be featuring a new cocktail for Thirsty Thursdays with Life With A Side Of Coffee. We're going to get the weekend started early with a delicious cocktail to serve with friends or for an intimate night cap. We've got some great recipes planned so don't miss it every Thursday in June starting with tequila. Get poolside ready because I'm about to reintroduce you to the World's Freshest Margarita. I shared a cocktail recipe back in February from Milagro for the World's Freshest Margarita. Well, I've remade this drink and have the recipe to refresh your memory.
The World's Freshest Margarita2 parts Milagro Silver 3/4 parts agave nectar 1 part fresh lime juice
Shake well. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a lime. Add salt, if desired.
Sounds simple right? Well, it is. And it's delicious. It can't get easier than a three ingredient drink. I made this a 4oz. cocktail which I will translate for you below...
The World's Freshest Margarita 2 oz. Milagro Silver 3/4 oz. agave nectar 1 oz. fresh lime juice
Now if you're like me and like your drinks a tad sweeter, I'd increase the agave nectar to 1 part, or 1 ounce, instead of just 3/4. It will up the sweetness while keeping that smooth flavor this tequila is so good for. I was quite generous with the lime juice as well. My measurements are never exact, it's why I'm so terrible at baking. In the case of this cocktail, it worked in my favor. I garnished the glass with a lime wedge, no salt. I love that this drink is friendly enough for people like me who aren't fond of the flavor of alcohol. It's light, citrusy and goes down easy...a little too easy. This would be perfect for a pool party, summer night, casual cocktail party or anything else that you do during the summer. Have it for girls night or serve it up with some tacos. The flavors balance really well so that it's not too overpowering but not underwhelming so that you can't remember what you had to drink the other night. It's memorable in a good way. You'll make this your staple tequila cocktail from now on because it's so easy and it's so good. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
