Pairing Wine & Movies Round 3: Xo, G Pinot Grigio

Today marks the last post in the third round of Wine & Movie Pairings! I can't believe it's been three weeks already. January absolutely flew by. Well, I spent the weekend in Las Vegas and hopefully I'm on a plan right now heading home. Chicago had the snowstorm of a lifetime this weekend and my flight home got cancelled which I wasn't too thrilled about but I got to enjoy the amazing Monte Carlo and that wasn't a bad experience at all. I'll be doing some recaps of my weekend for you guys including some amazing Britney videos. I was literally and arm's length from her. Right now, I could really use a glass of wine so I hope you're enjoying one for me. I'm finishing off my Xo, G Wine rounds with the Pinot Grigio. Yes, it was a little backgrounds this time around but whatever...

The website describes the Pinot as "a delightful burst of bright citrus and relaxed hints of tropical fruit." The taste profile is dry and light bodied and is recommended to be paired with pasta, seafood or mild cheeses. The wine is from the Veneto region of Italy located in the Soave growing region in the eastern part of the province in Verona. Here's the full description from the website: "Like a stroll through the Italian countryside on a bright summer day, this wine is everything a Pinot Grigio should be...Light, with an aroma of citrus, mango and peach, and a crisp, lemony finish. The ideal food wine, it pairs perfectly with anything you'd squeeze a little lemon on. Salads? Check. Seafood? Absolutely. It's delish with miler cheeses too."

The only thing that would pair better with Breakfast at Tiffany's is Champagne. Xo, G doesn't offer bubbles yet but this Pinot Grigio did the job nicely. This is one of my favorite movies of all time so the fact I paired any wine with it speaks very highly of that bottle. I really enjoyed trying Xo, G wines. I love their packaging, I love that nothing goes to waste. I love that you can drink them as fast or slow as you'd like. My favorite of the three would probably be the Rose but I did enjoy the Pinot Grigio as well. There was lots of activity on Instagram last week for Xo, G with "big plans" coming soon. I can't wait to see what they have coming up next. This is such a brilliant idea so if there are more varietals, I'll definitely be trying them out.

Anyone else stranded in a city not their home or any other HUGE Breakfast at Tiffany's fans out there?
