MENU First Course: Linguine with Capers and Olives Main: Simple Chicken Breast with Sage Side: Carrot Salad Side: Broccoli Rabe Tropiano Style
The linguine was delicious. I was requested to add more black olives next time but that was the only complaint. This was pretty easy to make which was nice since I had so many things going on for this meal. I did all the prep work that was necessary before I started cooking which made the entire process go much smoother. I'm learning the best methods in the kitchen lately. The Simple Chicken Breast with Sage was a simple and delicious dish. The flavor was rich but the meal was light, great for a warm day. I paired this with the Carrot Salad and Broccoli Rabe Tropiano Style. There was no cooking involved with the Carrot Salad. I just shaved the carrots down, mixed the ingredients together and called it a day. Very easy and you can do it while everything is cooking. The Broccoli Rabe Tropiano Style was sauteed. This was also easy, there were just a few steps to it. It came out delicious though. I've mentioned before that Broccoli Rabe is a great substitution for regular broccoli. It's smaller, lighter in flavor and less bitter. It's great if you have picky eaters.
