Christmas Is In The Air Link Up: Holiday Beauty
Welcome back to the Christmas is in the Air link up with Chelsee from Southern Beauty Guide and I! The topic this week is holiday beauty. Between Chelsee and I, I am not the beauty guru. I can hold my own and I've done people's makeup for dances in college and high school but when it comes to making videos and tutorials, I am a failure. However, I do have some favorite products so I've put together my Christmas beauty wish list. Alright. Time for my beauty wish list. Here are a few things on my list. Tell me what you have on yours in the comments below!
1A: benefit play stick ($36) - Ever since my old concealer was cancelled, I've been in the market for a new one and this seems to come pretty close. I haven't tried it yet but I'd love to since I'm running low on the stash I hoarded from my old concealer.
2A: Bobbi Brown Rich Caramel Eye Palette ($49) - I love the colors in the palette. They are colors I would wear regularly. And since Chelsee insists that everyone own at least one thing from Bobbi Brown, this sounds like a great start.
3A: Dior 5 Couleurs: 796 Cuir Cannage ($62) - I love Dior makeup. It's the one brand I'm not afraid to splurge on. This palette is so beautiful and reminds me of the holiday palette they had years ago. It was the first high-end makeup product I ever owned and it caused me to fall in love with this particular brand.
1B: Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner ($19) - This is by far the favorite eye liner I have ever owned. I'm almost out and stupidly bought the Sephora brand to replace it instead but as soon as that stick runs out I'm running back to Smashbox. It goes on so smooth, smudges easily if you need it to but stays on all day. I love the attached sharpener as well.
2B: Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ($22) - I was introduced to Perversion through a beauty box and have been a dedicated fan ever since. It's my favorite mascara for several reasons. It plumps, it darkens and it makes your lashes bold. I love the brush, I love the effect. I will always be needing more of this.
3B: Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette ($9.99) - My favorite drugstore brand of makeup is Maybelline. I buy their BB Cream for lighter makeup days and the summertime. I have a variety of their eye shadows and I have several lip products from them as well. I keep seeing commercials for this new palette and I'm dying to try it out.
