It's Sunday night around dinnertime and you realize you haven't made it to the store for this week's groceries. You're tired, you want to relax and enjoy what's left of the already too short weekend. Braving an anxious crowd and fighting over the last few decent looking pieces of fruit is far from what you'd like to be doing. This is me. Every. Week. It might not always be Sunday night but the thought of having to deal with huge crowds in a cramped store gives me anxiety and I know I am not the only one. When I discovered Door to Door Organics, my mind was blown. I had heard of it before but thought it was only for a healthy snack box. They are much more than just their regular box of fruits and veggies to munch on. They have a full-service grocery store online that delivers right to your door. Know what that means? No more crowded grocery stores at the last minute.

In full disclosure, when I was living in Chicago I had tried out two other grocery services available. I was left unimpressed and I'm pretty sure ripped off by serious price hiking. What I love about Door to Door Organics is the affordable organic and healthy food options. They don't make it unreasonable if you're on a budget. You can even sub other fruits and veggies in for your regular subscription box to save a few extra bucks. They combine convenience with accessibility meaning anyone can afford to use their service.

It might be a bit concerning to have your groceries delivered. What if you're not home? What if it's hot out? What if it's cold out? Won't things like meat and dairy go bad? No and here's why. Door to Door Organics insulates their boxes so that everything stays fresh and preserved. I ordered a whole chicken, beef, eggs and a few other dairy products. They were kept cold with ice packs and in a separate box from pantry goods, fruits and veggies. They're not messing around, they know what they're doing.

Let's break it down for a second. Door to Door Organics offers two different types of services: their weekly organics box and their grocery selection. Most people are familiar with the organics box. Each week, they deliver a box of local, organic fruits, veggies or both mixed together. There are several sizes to choose from whether you're a single snacker or feeding a large family. I am a Bitty Mixed Box subscriber and this week's included: 1 Avocado, 1 Broccoli Bunch, 1 Carrot Bunch, 1 Cucumber, 2 Oranges, 2 Kiwi, 2 Sweet Potatoes, 2 Beefsteak Tomatoes and 3 Bananas. If you do not like one or more of those items you can swap them out and even choose to never receive them again in the future. They make it adaptable so that you're getting exactly what you want.

The grocery selection is basically an online grocery store. They have everything from meat and dairy to a wider selection of fruits and veggies, pantry items like cereal, grains and soups, prepared meals, snacks, drinks and more. They include a sale section with great deals happening at the moment and a "Hot at the Shop" tab. This includes bargains, bulk bundles, what's in season and timely themes. Right now they have "Stay-Well Foods" perfect for flu and allergy season as well as "Smart Snacking."

Door to Door Organics is a great service because it's saving me time and money, two things which we all wish we had more of. It also cuts out the stress of hitting the grocery store every week. I can focus on more important things and maybe even have a lazy night in with Netflix. Visit Door to Door Organics to see if they deliver to your area and sign up for your first subscription box today. Even if you're not ready for the online grocery shopping experience, it's a great opportunity to add more fruit and veggies to your snacking.
