Where To Celebrate National Soup Month In Chicago

Happy National Soup Month! I don't know about you but soup is definitely something to celebrate. From creamy vegetable soups to heart beef stews, it's the perfect meal during the freezing winter. We'll be sharing a few soup recipes this month but before we get to those, we have a round-up of where to go in the Chicago area for deals and specials. From decadent lobster bisque to specials from a brand new restaurant opening this month, you'll want to take advantage of each of these to indulge and warm up. It's supposed to be wet and chilly this week, perfect weather for a hot bowl of soup.

Baker & Nosh is featuring their Chicken Florentine Soup this month and we can see why. White and dark meat chicken, fresh spinach, white beans, tomatoes and seasonal veggies all come together for a hearty, delicious lunch or dinner. The soup is served with your choice of a freshly baked roll at $5 for a 12 ounce bowl. Baker & Nosh will also have beef chili and a variety of veggie cream soups for the same price with roll options.

Enjoy not one but four soups for National Soup Month with the Soup Flight at Chez Moi only available in January. Available from 5-10 PM at $9.95 per person, enjoy a satisfying taste of Cauliflower Cream with Cumin, Lobster Bisque, Mushroom Soup and French Onion Soup. As much as each one of those sounds amazing, the French Onion with all that cheesy goodness on top has my mouthwatering just thinking about it.

A brand new short-order vegan spot in Uptown, Kal'ish is celebrating their grand opening on January 14th! Their menu features healthy, plant-based alternatives to favorites found at traditional American fast food restaurants like burgers, fries and chicken tenders. Enjoy two of their new soup specials as soon as their doors open this Saturday. The Butternut Squash Soup is topped with crème fraîche and fresh basil and served with a side of bread ($7.50). The Tomato Bisque Soup is also topped with crème fraîche as well as roasted squash seeds and served with a side of bread ($7.50).

From January to March, Texas de Brazil will be serving Moqueca as an additional item for the hot items available in the salad area nationwide. That means even if you're not a local Chicagoan, you can find it at your nearest location!
