Last Minute Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Last Minute Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Valentine’s Day is a few days away and I know there are a few slackers out there. Whether you need ideas for Valentine’s gifting or you want to give your partner a few hints to make sure they’re on the right track, today is your lucky day. We’ve got a last-minute guide for all the procrastinators out there, especially anyone who is within driving distance of the Chicago metro area. All I know is that if I were to be on the receiving end of these gifts, I’d be forever grateful. This is definitely a gift guide for those who prefer experiences over things so if you’re looking for a few diamonds, keep scrolling.

BOOK A PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
If you and your partner are recently engaged or building a family, give them the gift of memories for Valentine’s Day. Purchase a photography session and if you feel comfortable, book a date for engagement photos, newborn photos, family photos or couple photos. The end result could be portraits, photo books, and so much more. Levine-Moore Photography is based in Chicago and do everything from branding to family photo sessions.

A NEW WARDROBE
Subscription boxes like StitchFix and Trunk Club have flipped shopping upside down. Where guys (and some gals) might have never considered new clothes as a gift option, there’s no reason not to with subscription boxes of clothes chosen by a personal stylist. Both companies send great quality items and Trunk Club is great with customization. And ladies, if you want to give your man the gift of a new wardrobe, StitchFix caters to guys too.

DINE WITH A VIEW
For Chicago locals, treat your Valentine to dinner with a view on a lake or river cruise. In full disclosure, options are limited but there are still opportunities available for a Valentine’s Day dinner on Mystic Blue, Odyssey, and Spirit Cruises. There are also reservations open through the weekend if you’d like to postpone your Valentine’s Day celebration to Friday, Saturday, or even Sunday night. Who could beat dinner with the Chicago skyline in the background?
